Is BA Convert really free?
Yes. All 113 tools are free to use with no signup, no watermark and no daily limits on how many times you use them. The site is paid for by advertising, and there are no paid plans or locked "premium" features.
Are my files sent to a server?
No. Every tool runs in your web browser using JavaScript, so your images, PDFs, Word files and spreadsheets are processed on your own device and never sent to a server. You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab and use any tool; no file is sent. The only network calls are for the page itself, ads, anonymous analytics and, on currency pages, exchange rates.
Do I need to install anything?
No. BA Convert works in any modern browser, such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone. There is nothing to download or install, and no account to create.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Every tool works on phones and tablets. You can pick photos from your gallery or files from your phone's storage, and downloads are saved to your Downloads folder. Very large files are faster on a computer, because phones have less memory.
Who made BA Convert?
BA Convert is built and maintained by Betsan, a designer and marketer from Chennai, India. It started as a way to compress photos and PDFs for online forms without sending personal documents to unknown websites. Read more on the About page.
How do I report a bug or request a tool?
Use the Contact page or email info@baconvert.com. Every tool page also has a "Report a problem" link that fills in the tool name for you. Requests for new tools are welcome, especially for Indian forms and documents.
