Frequently asked questions
How do I convert HEX to RGB?
Split the six HEX digits into three pairs and convert each from base 16 to a number from 0 to 255. #3B82F6 becomes 3B = 59, 82 = 130, F6 = 246, so rgb(59, 130, 246). Paste the HEX code above and all formats appear instantly.
What is CMYK used for?
CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) is the colour model for printing with ink, while RGB is for screens. Printers convert RGB designs to CMYK, and some bright screen colours cannot be printed exactly. Use the CMYK values here as a starting point and check a printed proof.
How do I pick a colour from an image?
In "Pick a colour from an image", choose a photo or logo, then click anywhere on it. The colour at that spot is loaded into the converter with its HEX, RGB, HSL and CMYK values. The image stays on your device.
