How to use Diff Checker
Paste the original text on the left and the changed text on the right, or use "Open file" on each side.
Choose side-by-side or unified view, and tick "Ignore case" or "Ignore extra spaces" if those changes do not matter.
Read the summary and the highlighted changes: red is removed, green is added.
When to use Diff Checker
- Contracts and letters. See exactly what changed between two drafts.

Limits and privacy
- Files up to 5MB each (TXT, CSV, JSON, code files). Very long texts are compared up to about 5,000 lines on each side.
- Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent or stored.
Frequently asked questions
How do I compare two texts?
Paste one version in "Original text" and the other in "Changed text". Lines that differ are highlighted at once: a red line was removed, a green line was added, and in changed lines the exact words are marked. The summary shows how many lines changed, were added, removed or stayed the same.
Can I compare two files?
Yes. Click "Open file" above each box and choose a text file, such as .txt, .csv, .json, .html or a code file. For Word documents, first use Word to TXT, and for PDFs use PDF to Text, then compare the results here.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The comparison runs in your browser, so contracts, code and private documents stay on your device.
