TIFF to PNG Converter

Convert TIFF to PNG losslessly in your browser, with a built-in decoder that works in Chrome and Edge and exports every page of multi-page TIFFs.

Your files are processed on your device and never sent to a server.

How to use TIFF to PNG

  1. Click "Choose files" and add up to 20 TIFF or TIF files.

  2. Click "Convert". PNG is lossless, so there is no quality setting.

  3. Download each page, all pages as a ZIP, or all pages as one PDF.

When to use TIFF to PNG

  • Lossless copies. Keep scans and artwork pixel-perfect in a format every app opens.
  • Graphics with transparency. TIFFs with an alpha channel keep it in PNG.
  • Editing. PNG works in every design tool, browser and office suite.

Limits and privacy

  • Up to 20 files at once, 50MB each. TIFF, TIF.
  • Supports uncompressed, LZW, PackBits and Deflate TIFFs. CCITT fax and JPEG-compressed TIFFs show a clear message instead.
  • 16-bit TIFFs are reduced to 8 bits per channel, which is what PNG viewers and browsers show.
  • Files are decoded in your browser and never sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Is TIFF to PNG lossless?

Yes for 8-bit images: every pixel is copied exactly into the PNG. 16-bit TIFFs (common from some scanners and cameras) are reduced to 8 bits per channel, which looks the same on screen but keeps less editing headroom.

Why does my browser not open TIFF?

Chrome, Edge and Firefox do not include a TIFF image decoder, and Safari supports only some TIFFs. This tool reads the TIFF format itself with JavaScript, so it works in all of them and then saves standard PNG files.

Can I convert many files?

Yes. Add up to 20 TIFF files, up to 50MB each. Every page of each file becomes a PNG, and you can download them all as a ZIP.
