How to resize your IBPS photo and signature
Choose what you are preparing (for example "Photo"). The size and KB limits are already set for IBPS; change them if your notification differs.
Click "Choose your photo" (or "Choose your signature") and pick a clear photo or scan. Move the box so it frames your face or your signature.
Click "Make photo", check the green tick for the KB range, then download the file and upload it on the IBPS portal.
When to use the IBPS resizer
- IBPS PO, Clerk and SO. All four documents are needed before you can submit the form.
- IBPS RRB Officer and Office Assistant. The same four uploads and sizes are used.
- SBI and other bank exams. SBI forms use very similar sizes; check the notice and adjust if needed.
Before you upload: check the IBPS notification
These are the sizes the tool is preset to for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (PO, Clerk, SO, RRB). They come from recent notifications as reported by several sources, which do not always agree. Always confirm them in the official notification on www.ibps.in before you upload, and change the numbers in the tool if yours are different.
- Photo: JPG, 20 to 50 KB, 200 x 230 pixels.
- Signature: JPG, 10 to 20 KB, 140 x 60 pixels.
- Left thumb impression: JPG, 20 to 50 KB, 240 x 240 pixels.
- Handwritten declaration: JPG, 50 to 100 KB, 800 x 400 pixels.
- IBPS forms ask for four uploads: photo, signature, left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration, plus a live photo during registration.
- Sign in running handwriting with black ink. Signatures in capital letters are rejected.
The handwritten declaration
- Copy the exact declaration text from your notification in your own running handwriting (not capital letters) in English, on white paper, with a black pen.
- Photograph or scan it straight, choose "Handwritten declaration" above, frame the text and click "Make handwritten declaration".
- The thumb impression should be your left thumb, pressed in blue or black ink on white paper, with the ridges clearly visible.
Limits and privacy
- One image at a time, 25MB each. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF.
- Output is always JPG (JPEG), the format exam portals accept.
- Each upload type keeps its own photo and settings, so you can prepare all of them on one page and download them one by one.
- Your photo and signature are processed in your browser and never sent to BA Convert.
Frequently asked questions
What is the IBPS photo size in KB?
IBPS forms have asked for a recent colour photo of 200 x 230 pixels (about 4.5 x 3.5 cm), between 20 KB and 50 KB, in JPG, on a light background. That is the photo preset here. A live photo is also captured during registration, so look the same in both.
What is the IBPS signature size?
The signature is 140 x 60 pixels and 10 KB to 20 KB in JPG, signed in black ink in running handwriting. Signatures in capital letters are rejected. The left thumb impression is 240 x 240 pixels at 20 to 50 KB, and the handwritten declaration is 800 x 400 pixels at 50 to 100 KB.
Why was my IBPS photo rejected?
Rejections usually come from blurred or dark photos, photos with caps or dark glasses, a face that does not match the live photo, or files outside the KB range. For signatures and declarations, capital letters, faint ink and grey backgrounds are common problems; the clean-up option here makes the paper white and the ink darker.
Can I do this on my phone?
Yes. You can photograph your signature, thumb impression and declaration with your phone camera and prepare all four files on this page in a mobile browser. Download each one and upload it on ibps.in.
