Error correction

QR version 2 (25 x 25 modules), error correction M. Static code: it stores the content directly, so it never expires.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent or stored.

How to use QR Code Generator

  1. Choose the type, for example "Website link", "WiFi" or "Contact card", and fill in the details.

  2. Optional: change the colours, add a logo and pick the download size.

  3. Scan the preview with your phone to test it, then click "Download PNG", "Download SVG" or "Download PDF".

When to use QR Code Generator

  • Shops and restaurants. WiFi QR on the table, a menu link, or a Google review QR at the counter.
  • Visiting cards. A vCard QR saves your name, phone and email to the scanner's contacts.
  • WhatsApp business. Customers scan to open a chat with a ready-made message.
  • Posters and flyers. Link to registration forms, location maps or event pages.
  • Payments. For UPI payments, use the UPI QR Code Generator.

Static QR codes never expire

Many "free" QR sites create dynamic codes that point to their own servers and stop working when a trial ends. The codes made here are static: the website link, WiFi details or contact card are stored inside the pattern itself, so they keep working for as long as the printed code exists, with no account or subscription.

Limits and privacy

  • Up to about 2,900 characters of content (QR version 40). Shorter content makes simpler, easier-to-scan codes.
  • A logo covers part of the code, so the highest error correction (H) is used automatically. Always test before printing.
  • Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent or stored.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static QR codes: the content is encoded directly in the black and white pattern, not in a redirect link on a server. As long as the printed code is readable and the website or details inside it are still valid, it will keep working, free, forever.

How do I make a UPI QR code?

Use the UPI QR Code Generator. Enter your UPI ID (for example yourname@okaxis), your name and optionally a fixed amount, and download the code or a printable shop stand card. Payers can scan it with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or any bank app.

Can I add my logo?

Yes. Click "Add a logo" and choose a PNG, JPG or SVG. The logo is placed in the centre on a small white box, and the code switches to the highest error correction level (H), which can still be read with up to about 30% of the pattern covered. Scan it with a couple of phones before printing.

Which format is best for printing?

SVG or PDF. Both are vector formats, so the code stays perfectly sharp at any size, from a visiting card to a banner, and print shops prefer them. Use PNG at 1024 or 2048 pixels for documents, WhatsApp and social media. Print at least 2 cm wide, larger for scanning from a distance.

How do I make a WiFi QR code?

Choose "WiFi", type the network name (SSID) exactly as it appears, the password and the security type (usually WPA/WPA2). Guests scan the code with their phone camera and join without typing the password. Most Android phones and iPhones support this.

Is my data stored?

No. The QR code is generated in your browser, and the website address, WiFi password or contact details you type are never sent to BA Convert or stored anywhere.
