How to resize your NEET photo and signature

  1. Choose what you are preparing (for example "Passport size photo"). The size and KB limits are already set for NEET; change them if your notification differs.

  2. Click "Choose your photo" (or "Choose your signature") and pick a clear photo or scan. Move the box so it frames your face or your signature.

  3. Click "Make passport size photo", check the green tick for the KB range, then download the file and upload it on the NEET portal.

When to use the NEET resizer

  • NEET UG registration. Prepare all the images before the form opens so you can finish in one sitting.
  • Correction window. Replace a photo or signature that NTA flagged.
  • Other NTA exams. JEE Main, CUET and others use similar photo and signature rules; adjust the numbers to your bulletin.

Before you upload: check the NEET notification

These are the sizes the tool is preset to for NEET UG (National Testing Agency). They come from recent notifications as reported by several sources, which do not always agree. Always confirm them in the official notification on neet.nta.nic.in before you upload, and change the numbers in the tool if yours are different.

  • Passport size photo: JPG, 10 to 200 KB.
  • Postcard size photo (4 x 6 in): JPG, 10 to 200 KB, 4 x 6 inch.
  • Signature: JPG, 4 to 30 KB.
  • Left thumb impression: JPG, 10 to 200 KB.
  • NTA has asked for a passport-size photo and a postcard-size (4 x 6 inch) photo, both taken recently on a white background, with the face covering about 80% of the passport photo.
  • The signature and the left-hand thumb impression are also uploaded. Some years have also asked for all ten finger impressions.

Limits and privacy

  • One image at a time, 25MB each. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF.
  • Output is always JPG (JPEG), the format exam portals accept.
  • Each upload type keeps its own photo and settings, so you can prepare all of them on one page and download them one by one.
  • Your photo and signature are processed in your browser and never sent to BA Convert.

Frequently asked questions

What is the NEET photo size in KB?

NEET bulletins have asked for a passport-size photo and a postcard-size (4 x 6 inch) photo, each between 10 KB and 200 KB in JPG, taken recently on a white background with the face covering about 80% of the passport photo. Both are presets here. Check the current bulletin for the date the photo must be taken after.

What is the NEET signature size?

The signature has generally been a JPG of 4 KB to 30 KB, signed in running handwriting with a black pen on white paper. The left-hand thumb impression is a JPG of 10 KB to 200 KB. Both presets are included, along with the option to whiten the paper.

Why was my NEET photo rejected?

NTA rejects photos that are not recent, are taken with spectacles or caps, have a coloured background, or where the face is too small. Polaroid and computer-generated photos are not accepted. Make sure the postcard photo shows your full face clearly and both photos match each other.

Can I do this on my phone?

Yes. All four images can be prepared in your phone browser. Choose each one, frame it, make it and download it, then upload it on the NTA portal. Your photos are not sent anywhere else.
