Add Watermark to PDF
Add watermark to PDF pages in your browser: stamp CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT or your own text, or a logo image, at any angle and opacity, in one position or tiled across the page.
Your files are processed on your device and never sent to a server.
How to use Watermark PDF
Click "Choose a PDF".
Choose "Text" (pick a preset like CONFIDENTIAL or type your own) or "Image or logo". Set opacity, rotation and position, or tick "Repeat across the page". Optionally limit it to some pages.
Click "Add watermark" and download the PDF.
When to use Watermark PDF
- Confidential documents. Mark salary slips, contracts and reports before sharing.
- Drafts. Stamp DRAFT on documents that are not final.
- ID copies for KYC. Add "For bank KYC only" so a copy cannot easily be reused elsewhere.
- Branding. Add a company logo to quotations, catalogues and proposals.
Limits and privacy
- Text watermarks use a standard PDF font that supports English letters and numbers. For Tamil or Hindi, make an image of the text and use the image option.
- One PDF at a time, up to 200MB.
- PDFs are processed in your browser with pdf-lib and pdf.js, which are served from this site. Your file is not sent to a server, and nothing is kept after you close the page.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add a watermark to a PDF?
Choose your PDF, keep "Text" selected and click a preset such as CONFIDENTIAL or type your own words. Adjust the size, colour, opacity and angle, choose a position, and click "Add watermark". Download the new PDF; the original stays unchanged on your device.
Can I add a logo watermark?
Yes. Choose "Image or logo" and pick your logo (PNG with a transparent background works best). Set its width as a percentage of the page, lower the opacity to around 20% to 40% for a background watermark, and choose a position or tile it across the page.
Can a PDF watermark be removed?
The watermark is drawn into the page content, so it is not a separate layer that can be switched off in normal readers. Someone with PDF editing software can still remove or cover it, so a watermark discourages misuse rather than preventing it. For real protection, also use Protect PDF.
Is my file sent to a server?
No. The watermark is added in your browser and the PDF never leaves your device.
