I am a freelance designer and marketer based in Chennai, India. My day involves switching between client projects, social media work and website builds. And almost every single day, I need to convert an image, compress a PDF, or extract text from a Word document.
For the longest time, doing that was genuinely painful. Every tool I found online had the same pattern. You open the website, you upload your file, and then a popup tells you that you have hit your free limit. So you try another tool. That one wants you to create an account first. You sign up, wait for the verification email, come back, and finally get to upload your file. Then you download the result only to find a massive watermark slapped across it. Or worse, you realize your file just got uploaded to some random server somewhere and you have no idea what happens to it next.
It was slow, frustrating and completely unnecessary. These are simple conversions. A computer can do them in milliseconds. Why does it need to be this complicated?
So I Built BA Convert.
With the help of AI tools, I built the converter I always wanted. One that opens instantly, never asks you to sign up, processes everything right in your browser without touching any server, and never adds a watermark to your work. What started as a weekend project to solve my own problem has grown into something much bigger.
BA Convert launched in 2026 with a handful of image conversion tools. Today it has grown to over 100 free tools covering images, PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, calculators, developer utilities, writing tools and media tools. Every single one of them is free. Every single one works entirely in your browser.
The name BA Convert comes from my initials. This is not a big company or a venture funded startup. It is just me, my laptop and the genuine belief that useful tools should be free and private for everyone.

What We Stand For
How Does It Work Without a Server?
Modern browsers are incredibly powerful. They can run complex JavaScript that handles image compression, PDF manipulation, file format conversion and data processing entirely on your device. BA Convert uses these browser capabilities to do everything locally.
When you compress a PDF on BA Convert, that compression happens on your computer using your processor. When you convert a JPG to PNG, your browser does the pixel conversion. Nothing is sent anywhere. The only thing that leaves your device is the final downloaded file going into your downloads folder.
From 9 Tools to 100 Tools
BA Convert started in early 2026 with just 9 image converter tools. The response was better than expected. People were using it daily and sharing it with colleagues. So I kept building. PDF tools came next, then Word tools, then calculators and developer utilities.
Today BA Convert has over 100 tools across 8 categories and is used by designers, developers, students, marketers and everyday people who just need to convert a file without the usual hassle. The mission has not changed since day one. Fast, private and completely free.
